End The Bedtime Struggle!
The Snugbugs Premise: Let’s teach kids to make bedtime fun by using their imaginations! Let's teach them to go inward and create the night of their dreams!
Children are dependent on their adults for most things. This vulnerability, or lack of autonomy, can make it difficult for them to part with their parents or caregivers at bedtime. They think, “Well gosh, I had you doing everything with me and for me all day long, how am I supposed to get through the whole night alone?” Little ones actually need to learn to go to sleep. They need to learn that being alone is not a bad thing. Not only that, but that being alone can be quite nice! One must learn how to use and enjoy that time, and for many, it is an acquired skill. The truth is, that when they are asleep, children don’t need anyone or anything! It’s a time to rest, sort the downloads of the day, and solidify the new pathways that are forming in that age group at rapid speed!
Kids enjoy being occupied with activity. Their brains are forming and they crave learning experiences and information. They enjoy playing, socializing, learning in school, being outdoors, you name it, they look forward to all that they do during the day. Going to bed is a break from everything that they know! So we have to make going to bed something that they learn to love. Kids can benefit from learning to go inward! There is so much noise in todays world, and kids are getting further and further away from nature. Their minds get addicted to electronics and activities, and going to bed can feel like a withdrawal. We have to teach kids to tap these amazing imaginations that we all have! It is a skill to be honed and a place to be built out and visited often! Children can learn to access a vast universe of their own making with just a bit of guidance, and not only is that fun, but it can lead to the harnessing of this much underused human superpower for creating a fulfilling life.
If you can think it, imagine it, and feel it, you can create it, manifest it, and materialize it in the 3D! During the night we’ve got imagination and dream time, but in reality, it is accessible anytime! What a concept! Let’s go to Planet Snug!
